Provides an encyclopedic listing of websites related to genealogy —  �a comprehensive, categorized & cross-referenced list of links that point you to genealogical research sites online.� As the site contains 307,163 links in 186 categories. These categories include countries (broken down by localities), technologies, record types, repositories, research techniques, historical etiquette, handwriting, clothing styles, histories of buildings, early medical technologies, weights and measures, natural and manmade disasters, calendars and dates, occupations, and so on and on. There are also links to genealogy tutorials and online educational opportunities.

The premier genealogy subscription site, still growing and adding materials. Ancestry.com recently acquired Genline, the most important Swedish genealogical database, and added those records to its vast collection.

A growing subscription site that also alerts you when a match is found to your family.

FamilySearch
Vast collection of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. The site has been redesigned recently, with a more efficient and effective search function.
