Welcome to the 2017 APH Life Story Symposium! There has never been a better time to be a member of the Association of Personal Historians. We have created an exciting, informative symposium tailored around you and your business needs. Register Now!

I am thrilled to welcome each of you to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, along the banks of the Mississippi River. Our hotel is situated on the river bluff, complete with walking and running trails right across the street. Behind our hotel is the Light Rail, which will give you a quick ride to downtown Minneapolis. There are many restaurants, museums, cathedrals, theaters, riverboats and the State Capitol nearby.

Of course, touring a new city will not bring you new business. We know that the personal history profession can be challenging. In fact, running any small business can be challenging in itself! We also know that it will be an investment for you to attend the symposium. But our program offers solutions for some of the problems you face.

  • Increase your revenues
  • Learn your craft
  • Get answers to legal questions
  • Connect with like-minded people
  • Be inspired
  • Learn more about sales, marketing and software programs
  • Find the best tools for your business
  • Learn business skills

This is just a small sampling of the solutions you will find at the Symposium!

Our dynamite keynote speaker, Kerri Miller, a host on Minnesota Public Radio, will teach us about expert interviewing techniques. There will be networking, getting to know your peers, and learning how to run a successful personal history business. You will leave the Symposium enriched with knowledge you can apply when you arrive home. Our goal is to help you prosper.

Attending the Symposium is my favorite time of year, when I can renew, refresh, learn and grow. The benefits of attending are worth every penny. Make an investment in yourself and in your business. Join me in the Twin Cities, September 24-27.
