Grand Rapids, Michigan

The eleventh annual Association of Personal Historians conference will be held in a smaller city than usual, but what a gem of a city Grand Rapids is! This cosmopolitan city, the second largest in Michigan, has deep roots in industrial innovation and is rich in entrepreneurial spirit, and that same innovation and spirit has made its way into a conference you definitely don't want to miss!
This year you will recognize the foundation of conferences past within innovations that promise growth for you and the APH. Just some of what's new are a Personal Historian University to get our newcomers off the ground, a day-long retreat for advanced personal historians, and an evening set aside for regional meetings to build collaborations and networking.
The theme this year is Furnishing Your Business with the Tools for Success, and that is exactly what you will do. The conference committee has worked hard to create an environment where you can learn, network and, most importantly, walk away with sharp new tools to build a successful personal history business. Whatever your level of business—from hobbyist or novice to experienced professional—you'll find something to help you take it to the next level.
Take advantage of what this conference has to offer and join us in Grand Rapids in November!
Lettice Stuart, APH President
