Crossroads in Personal History

Salt Lake City, Utah
Oct 29 - Nov 2, 2008

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I…
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

- Robert Frost

Petroglyph
Centuries ago, one of the world's first personal historians etched this petroglyph into a southern Utah sandstone cliff.
This year’s theme, Crossroads in Personal History, was inspired by Robert Frost’s poem, The Road Not Taken, about life’s pivotal decisions. Our keynote speakers, workshops, and conference activities will explore four intriguing areas of interest in support of our theme:
  • •Business & Products Crossroads
  • •Historical Crossroads
  • •Crossroads at the Heart of the Story
  • •Personal Crossroads

The APH Conference Program Committee is excited to invite you to our 2008 conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, the historic Crossroads of the West, site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, and the home to the world’s largest family history library.

A dynamic, international conference is in the works. We encourage you to share your ideas and check this site frequently for the latest news. Your participation will truly make the event a success.

You may be at a crossroads in your work or life. The choice to attend our conference might be pivotal and, as Frost suggests, make “all the difference.”

See you soon at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City, where you’ll meet with personal historians and other experts from related fields to learn more about this wonderful profession or to enhance your established personal history business.
Family History Library
As a conference attendee, you will enjoy a Family History Library Tour and receive help in accessing its resources. Bring your own family group sheet or pedigree chart.
